Let's go nuts for doughnuts! A Daring Baker's Challenge
This month the Daring Bakers were challenged to make doughnuts! Woo hoo! With the cold weather gradually setting in, these sugary treats are quite welcome. I tried hard not to eat too many; they turned out really good!
DARING BAKERS OCTOBER 2010 CHALLENGE: LET'S GO NUTS FOR DOUGHNUTS!
The October 2010 Daring Bakers challenge was hosted by Lori of Butter Me Up. Lori chose to challenge DBers to make doughnuts. She used several sources for her recipes including Alton Brown, Nancy Silverton, Kate Neumann and Epicurious.
I am not including a recipe this time as I would like to test this recipe one more time before posting it. The dough was a vegan (of course) baked yeast based one. The doughnuts were soft and fluffy, although best eaten the same day.
I'll be back with the recipe some time soon.
